Appendix A- This document was published with the standards and outlines some beginning thinking on how the content could be accelerated. (not skipped) Note that the scope and sequence predates the PARCC frameworks and the curriculum maps produced by the Story of Ratios and the Story of Functions.
8th Grade PARCC revisions- this was published too late to be included in the 2012-2013 8th Grade Testing Guide. This change will likely show up in the 8th grade testing guide at some point in time.
Performance Level Descriptions- help you see what exactly is expected of a student's understanding of a standard. This is the first draft of the document it appears to have the Focus Clusters. Eventually all Additional and Supporting clusters will be included.
Algebra 1 - This link takes you to the Common Core Test Blueprint. It shows the format of the test that student who begin an Algebra 1 course will take this year.
PARCC Evidence Tables- These documents provide some insights and clarifications as to how the standards might be assessed. If they follow the same pattern as the 7th and 8th grade assessments, NY will likely use the PARCC evidence tables in the Assessment Standards Setting Process to produce the "Performance Level Description" document for Algebra 1 after the first administration of the exam.
Performance Task Evidence Table- Includes Tasks assessing concepts, skills and procedures, Tasks assessing expressing mathematical reasoning, and Tasks assessing modeling / applications.
NY will not have their assessment split up like this, but the content from both documents is worth examining based upon this document from EngageNY that shows the types of questions and how they are written in alignment to the verbs in the standards.
Story of Ratios Curriculum Map- Note the standards that are included in each module.
